The Weekend Has Landed! - September 17th

With all available blogging hours going in to recent calendar and trivia updates, here's the high level summery of the weekend ahead:

Third Friday Durham - The social calendar is crazy packed tonight, and it's all Third Friday's fault. You'll be forced to make some decisions, as open galleries and interesting destinations abound.

CenterFest - Durham Arts Council's 37th Annual CenterFest will be going on Saturday and Sunday, with:
  • 124 juried visual artists from 11 states
  • Live music, dance, and entertainment across 3 stages
  • Hands-on art in the Creative Kids Zone
  • Community Showcase with 34 Non-Profits, Government, Civic Groups & Sponsors
Tonight is the first show at the season at Duke Coffeehouse - Embarrassing Fruit's CD Release Party, being kicked off by Lonnie Walker and Midtown Dickens.

Megafaun & Fight the Big Bull are playing three nights in a row at the Hayti Cultural Center.

Saturday is the Grand Opening of Grassroots Bikes, and Sunday there is a block party with a local brewery showcase at Whole Foods.
