Cuban Revolution & Chifferobe Cabaret

The Chifferobe Cabaret crew are returning to Durham this Saturday, March 10th, for an evening of live music, variety performances, and burlesque at Cuban Revolution. The theme this time will be inspired by the music and entertainment that flourished in Storyville, the famous red light district of New Orleans.

The evening's performers include:
All of the Chifferobe shows that I've been treated to have been fantastic. So, with the addition of Durham's local yodeling banjo player, Curtis Eller, this show should be pretty amazing!

As usual, vintage and cocktail attire is encouraged, with prizes going to the best dressed. Tickets are $6 in advance, $10 at the door. Doors open at 9pm and the show starts at 9:30pm.

Help Cocoa Cinnamon Come to Life

If you've been out and about on the streets of Durham, you've probably seen bikeCOFFEE. If you've tasted their coffee, you know they brew one of the best cups in the city.

Well, the delicious beverages that they've been pedaling to peddle are a taste of what's to come. Owners Leon and Areli Barrera de Grodski have been in the process of creating Cocoa Cinnamon, their new brick and mortar establishment to be located at the corner of Geer and Foster streets.

Cocoa Cinnamon will be a neighborhood coffee, chocolate, spice, and tea lounge. They've just started up a Kickstarter campaign to help fund the upfit of their new space. This is going to be an excellent addition to this emerging district, so throw some support their way to help bring this project to fruition!
