Durham Gets LUEWWD

This weekend at the James Joyce, you'll have the opportunity to witness the North Carolina premier of philanthropic women's arm wrestling. Saturday (6/12) will mark the inaugural event of LUEWWD, the League of Upper Extremity Wrestling Women in Durham. It'll be good fun for a good cause, as all proceeds go to the Durham Crisis Response Center.

Costumed contestants take on intense personas, competing for the ultimate prize of the championship belt. Audience participation is encouraged, as attendees can donate dollar bills to purchase "LUEWWD Bucks" to vote for their favorite wrestler.

Doors open at 8pm, with the main event kicking off at 9. It's $5 at the door and there will be plenty of swag for sale; from t-shirts to temporary tattoos.

It's time to get LUEWWD!
