On Saturday, Oct. 29th, the League of Upper Extremity Wrestling Women of Durham (LUEWWD) will host it's fifth event titled "LUEWWD V: Ghouls Gone Wild!"
All proceeds from the event will be donated to Child S.A.F.E., a local organization that provides training in child sex abuse prevention.
At the event, eight costumed contestants compete in a single-elimination arm wrestling tournament to win the title of LUEWWD Champion. The contestants are also responsible for collecting "votes" (I.e. monetary donations) from the crowd with the help of a four-person team (called an entourage), that is also dressed in a themed costume.
The main event will be held at Casbah, starting at 9pm, w/doors at 7:30 and a $5 cover. The Cookery will host a Food Truck Round-Up in the Casbah parking lot prior to the event. Trucks will begin serving at 7pm.
