Tonight at the Pinhook you can catch Curtis Eller's American Circus along with The Drowning Lovers. I saw this same lineup over the summer elsewhere and it was fantastic. Truly one of the best overall performances I've seen in a while (seriously, check out his website for videos of past performances). From Curtis Eller:
This will be my first performance in Durham since moving here in December, and I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to sing and dance for my new neighbors. Remember, attendance is mandatory and Confederate currency will no longer be accepted.
A friend describes Eller's music as "Tom Waits meets Buster Keaton with a banjo." Curtis Eller just moved to Durham from New York City and this is his first Durham based show, so let's show him a Durham welcome.
